AW: baby shower brag

Yesterday was my baby shower that two of my aunts hosted. It couldn't have been more perfect! We got a huge chunk of our two registries. My parents got us the crib and mattress, as well as a few other items. M's mom and sister got us our Britax B-Safe and a bunch of other things. I just couldn't believe how generous everyone was! Oh! And there were not any games! Only down side was that there wasn't cake

Unfortunately, I only have one picture because all of the rest are on my moms camera but here is one of me and my mom from after the shower. I was so hot from opening gifts that I had to put my hair up.

Sounds like a great shower and you looked fabulous! I was also a sweaty mess opening gifts, I think it's being the center of attention, more an emotional reaction than it actually being hot.

But really? NO CAKE??? ( Here is one for you that might ease your disappointment.

I don't know why there wasn't cake! M's mom said she has never been to a baby shower without cake. There were lemon bar (not my thing) and brownie with nuts (also not my thing, the nuts not the brownie) triangles. I was so nervous being the center of attention that I hardly ate. I deft could have made an exception for cake, though. Thank you all for the kind words!

No cake?? That's the saddest thing ever!!!! I am a pig when it comes to sweets and when asked about my shower that most important thing on my list was the cake. I even offered to pay for it so I could be sure to get exactly what I wanted i.e. no whipped frosting.

Your dress is adorable and I'm glad you had a fantastic time!!!

You look beautiful in your dress you bought on your shopping spree! Glad you had a good time although sadsies about no cake. I was also super hot opening gifts at my shower.
