S/O from SAHMs--How warm/cold do you keep your house in the winter?

SAHMs were talking about if and how long people wait to turn on the heat and it got me wondering how cold everyone keeps their houses. I love to be cold and wear lots of clothes, haha, so if I had my way it'd be 65 or less in my house at all times. DH, however, is a big whiny baby at 73 so that's usually where it stays.

  • We typically keep it around 67ish.  Last year we kept it a bit warmer because of DD.

  • DH likes it cool -- pre-babies, I was lucky if he would heat it to 67 in the winter. There were plenty of mornings I would wake up and it would be flirting with 64. Yikes. With the girls', the goal is to keep their bedroom at least at 68-70, since we don't put them in heavy sleepers or anything like that.

That, and pumping in a chilly house in the middle of the night is THE WORST.

  • I'd say 64-68 here. I'd rather wear a sweater then spend the money. Lol! DS will wear a bonkers and fuzzy PJ's. On nights that are super cold I'm sure I will turn it up.

  • We usually set it at 68 in the winter. We will see how her room feels though and go from there.

  • We usually keep it around 67-68. Pre baby I hated turning the heat on before it snowed lol. Now with baby we already have it on at night. It's been down into the low 40's, and suppose to reach into the 30's this week at night.
