Um... What would he be?

I was talking with a co worker today about how excited I am for my Growth Ultrasound next week because I haven't seen my little guy since week 20. I was saying that its still crazy to me that there is a baby in there and if he came out today he would look like a tiny baby (I have 6 weeks left so def want him to cook longer but you get what I'm saying). She replied with yes he would look like a baby but he wouldn't be an actual baby. So now I'm puzzled, what on earth would he be if he wasn't a baby? A puppy? A unicorn? Ladies, please help me, when will he become a baby? God forbid he came early and was like a dragon or something!

PS: My only response to her was a blank stare until she walked away, I'll give her a pass and blame her stupid response on that fact that it's Monday!

Um...my son was born 5 weeks early and he looked like a baby. A baby born 6 weeks early looks like a baby too. Don't know what she thinks your baby would look like

This it just my WTF for the day that I had to share. I 100% know that I have a baby inside of me I was just flabbergasted that co worker said he wouldn't actually be a baby if he was born right now. Maybe later today I'll ask her what she thinks he is right now and update everyone on the stupidity!

You didn't know that you have been growing a puppy brother this whole time? It doesn't turn into an actual baby until you are 7 cm dialated. Jeeez, I thought everyone knew this?

AH!! I used to LOVE that movie. I watched it over and over, totally forgot about it until you just mentioned it. I bet you're right though, one day he'll just burst forth as a REAL baby! Can't wait.

This is hilarious! Do tell, if you ask her what he is now. I'm 6 weeks to Go Time, I really want to know what sort of creature has its little feet (or paws?) in my ribs.

Aw man, I only have 5 weeks left... did I miss the cut off for birthing a dragon yet? Now I see how the Khalessi got her dragons, it wasn't the eggs she just delivered too soon!

I don't even want her to clarify her response because what you ladies are coming up with is much funnier than whatever her response will be! Also I spoke with another co worker who confirmed that she gave birth at 35 and 35 1/2 weeks and managed to produce 2 healthy human children that are currently growing into normal human teens. WHEW! That is a load off my mind, but a dragon would still be cool.

I always picture mine as the same animal on the Team Green badge. I want a puppy brother in a dinosaur costume!...Maybe with a unicorn horn too, just for good measure.

@molly0169 I'm not sure when you are due, but if the baby comes before Halloween you should dress LO up and tell your co-worker that she was right and you didn't have a baby you had a dinosaur, goat, whatever you dress LO up as.
