mh and i are meeting with the woman, who has offered to be our GC, and her husband in about an hour

i made a power point outlining the initial info that needs to be discussed. it is overwhelming to us and we have been well-initiated into the world of infertility treatments that i wanted some sort of a road map for the discussion and a resource for them to take with them.

i didn't know i would be so anxious about this meeting. we just aren't sure where else we will go from here if this doesn't work......ughh.

thanks for being somewhere i could vent all this angst!

Thanks for the support ladies! The meeting went amazingly well. We met with the other couple for a couple of hours. She is very straightforward and loved the power point (thanks goodness, I never know how much geekiness is too much). They are both totally ready to go, and I am going to start making appointments tomorrow!

Many, many, many steps to go, but at least I feel like all four of us are on board!

Thanks for all the support ladies! We have told very few people that we are considering this option, so it is great to have a place to vent it all out!

@ Mama-Bear - I am sure that your opinions/experiences will be very valuable! Thanks for offering!

@ Jalara - her husband is totally on board. we so need to chat. I have a manuscript revision due today (EEK!) and an NSF grant due at the end of October (f the government ever starts working again). Have I mentioned I hate October? November will be much more sane.

Very exciting! FX that everything goes smoothly! We met with one GC previously and I will admit - it was awkward. Nothing like meeting someone for the first time and asking them to have your baby. I'm sure it will go great for you though!

So glad it went well! That must have been ridiculously nerve-wrecking. BTW, sounds like you're in academia, I am too. I have a revision due soon too. I'm supported by NSF and thank goodness, no payment stop yet.
