Would this bother you? (Baby related)

We went home for a wedding and brought some extra checked bags to bring baby gear and clothes back to Chicago. I grabbed my pump out of a box which had been stored in the garage.

The bag itself had some mold on it. It easily wiped off with a baby wipe and when we get back I will clean it with some bleach wipes. I couldn't find any mold on the inside of the bag or where the tubes plug into the motor. I think I must have cleaned it before boxing it up and not gotten it all the way dry.

Would this bother you? I'm getting a pump through my insurance so I will still have one. The old one was going to be my extra that I would either keep at home or work so I'm not dragging it on the train every day.

  • It wouldn't bother me.  I would maybe make a solution of water and vinegar to clean further, but I wouldn't have a problem if it cleaned and there were not other issues.

  • If you are going to clean and sanitize I would use it as long as it was all off

  • I think it's fine. I would check to make sure there's no mold in the motor and replace all the tubing.

  • I would probably sterilize the pump (boil everything) before using it but I'd still use it.

  • Clean and sanitize the tubes (which you should do fairly often anyways).
