Did you get a say in when your rcs was?

At my OB appt. On Wednesday I ask what the plan would be for delivery. She said that when I see my MFM to ask him when he thinks we should deliver. I've been wanting Dec. 2 which would put me at 37.1. Would I be able to ask for that? Did you have a say?

I did not. I did deliver as soon as I could after Thanksgiving I was 35 weeks on Black Friday. They gave me the first appt they had open which was not till Tuesday.

You should be able to ask for that. I was originally supposed to have my C section at 37w2d, but am going to deliver at 36 as my babies' growth has slowed down. By hospital, MFM, and OB policy, 36 weeks is the earliest they would deliver for a non-emergency.

My OB did pick a date for 37 weeks but said if I really want to push it out we could. LOL I was like nope that sounds good.

I was told I could schedule a C-section either Monday or Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving if I wanted to. (right now both babies are breech) I wanted the Wednesday as that was also my mom's birthday (she passed 5 years ago) but they were full so took the Monday. Then they called to say a spot opened up and they were switching me to Wednesday (I had told them why Wednesday was my first choice) so all is good. I'll be just under 38 weeks on that day. If they decide to come earlier of their own choosing, so be it, but for now that's what we have planned. Of course, there are the rare times now that I wish they were here already, but the longer they stay in the better so I just chug through all the discomforts. Chug, as in keep going, not drinking.

Thanks ladies. I was hoping for Dec. 1 since DDs birthday is June 1st and I would love for them to fall exactly 6 months apart but Dec. 1 is a Sunday. Dec. 2 is the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I have my MFM Oct. 31 at 32w4d so I'm hoping he'll say the 37th week is great. Then I'll see what my OBs schedule has available.

I wasn't allowed to choose. My OB was adamant not to deliver before 38 weeks (planned). I did get to choose the day though. I think it's up to your office.

I think you just have to ask... I know around here they won't schedule them before 38 weeks.
