I am almost positive my daughter is going through a growth spurt. She just turned 2 months old and has been extremely fussy with very little happy time and wants to nurse non-stop. According to the Wonder Weeks app, she is right in the middle of a leap that could last another week and half. :-( Is it possible to nurse her too much? I don't want to create a habit of her being used to eating every hour and I have to go back to work in a month so she needs to be able to be soothed by other things/ people and I want to start preparing her for the routine she'll need to follow at daycare. I try other things to soothe her, but eventually end up nursing again when other things don't work. I can also tell that's what she wants because she moves her head around and has a certain cry. She doesn't do very well holding onto a pacifier yet. Any tips for getting them to keep sucking? She hasn't been sleeping well at all either, unless she's in the swing and then she could stay in there for up to 3 hours waking up a few times, but remaining in a drowsy state in between.
How much play time vs. time in equipment (like a swing) should she have at 2 months old? Another random question... she has been pretty stuffy for the past few weeks (she snorts when she cries) and she freaks out when I use saline or any kind of aspirator. She has very tiny nostrils so I haven't been able to get the blue bulb in there. I bought a Nosefrida Snot Sucker and have gotten that to work, but only when I suck extremely hard and I'm worried it could be damaging her nose. She really starts screaming when I use it but I don't know if it's because the feeling scares her or if it hurts. Has anyone else used one? Did you have to suck really hard? Is it possible for it to damage their noses? I still find the whole concept pretty strange. ;-) Thanks!

Re: 2 Month Growth Spurt and other things
Hmmm...My LO is just about 3 months. I really don't have any advice on the wonder week bc my guy is colicky and I can never tell when he is going through a spurt bc he is always fussy.
I am a fan of whatever works. If you want your LO in a swing, I say do it. I don't really think it hurts to do whatever works for the both of you. I say be reasonable. A few hours in the swing is fine at a time. It sounds like what you are doing is fine.
As for the pacifier..my guy loved his at 2 months and now seems to not be so fond of it at 3. Maybe your LO is just not going to take to the pacifier at all.
My LO always seems a little stuffy/congested. I do not have a nose frida, but an electronic one. I asked the pedi about this and she said leave it alone unless they are having trouble breathing. She said sometimes it makes the congestion worse to keep trying to suck stuff out all the time. I'm sure it doesn't hurt your baby. Probably just an annoying/uncomfortable type of feeling.
