Ready for a baby in my arms instead of my belly

Anyone with me?? I'm only 37 weeks so I have a few weeks left, but I've definitely hit the "ready for labor" mode. Over the last two weeks I progressed from 1-2 cm to almost 3cm (last Thursday) and 90% effaced. Been having lots of Braxton Hicks since then, but I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up for an early delivery. Doctor says I won't make it to my due date, which I think makes it even harder to wait around! Sleeping is so uncomfortable (even with 4 pillows!) and I feel bad complaining to DH about being pregnant! Just letting off some steam...I know lots of you are feeling the same way!!

Same way! I've been feeling this since about 34 weeks too. Baby girl dropped some then and dropped big time over this weekend so I pretty much can barely walk and having tons of cramping and shooting pains in my cervix. I have an appt tomorrow so I'm hoping for some sort of change to show something is progressing. Last week I was just soft and not dilated. I went into labor a day before I hit 39 weeks so I'm getting anxious this time around!!

You're doctor can't tell you one way or another is you are going to make it to your due date. Don't get your hopes up, keep yourself busy, and expect the unexpected.

I started feeling the same way at about 35 weeks. Everyone said I would be early and now I'm overdue. 40+2. Just keep busy and try not to focus on the bad. Enjoy the time with hubby

I'm 38 weeks and about done. The baby has dropped so much that every time I stand up I have to pee. I've been having stronger BH contractions for over a week now. Been walking at least a mile every day.

Everyone ends up feeling that way. Just stick it out, baby will get here eventually.

Truthfully, your doctor has no idea when you are going to go into labor.

Yeah, everyone said I'd go early and here I sit at 40 weeks, 3 days, so as pp said, don't get your hopes up as it makes being overdue even harder.

I never thought I'd still be pregnant at this point.

I'm 39 weeks today and nobody seemed to think I'd make it this far, I guess because I'm short??? Idk but I hear with your first you usually go past your due date so I'm not getting my hopes up and just expecting that I'll go past. Appointment yesterday and no dilating yet but cervix is softening. Just going to let her come when she's ready

and stayin busy helps

This is me, too. I'm not ready to welcome baby to my messy and unprepared home, but I'm ready to be done being pregnant.

LOL this is me too and I will be 34wks this Friday....I am having a scs but I am finding that I am just about done being pregnant. I didn't feel this way with my first this early, maybe b/c its my second and I am just feeling more uncomfortable earlier then with my first.
