Hello Ladies..it's been a while..

Okay I have a question for you. My DD is way more verbal than my DS, is this normal? Did one of your twins/triples/quads speak more than the other (s)? I ask him to show me things and he'll point or take me to the subject, but his sister will say the word or babble something close to it. They babble back and forth to themselves, but she seems to be talking more. Should I be worried? TIA!

Re: Twin talk vs Words
I asked my pediatrician about it at their 2 yr check up and she said the typical standard for a full term 24 month old is 40 words. Yeah, we are no where close.
She referred me to a program where someone comes to my home and does an evaluation. I'll find out if my concerns are valid in 2 weeks when the rep is here. Depending on what state you live in, there may be a similar program available that has a sliding scale for out of pocket expense, if that is also a concern. I'm in Georgia and this program ("Babies Can't Wait" goes to age 3.
I'm not freaking out, more-so actually relieved that they are going to be evaluated. My oldest had 2 years of speech therapy from 3.5 to almost 5 years of age and it helped him tremendously.
