Rock n Play vs bassinet vs swing

Hey ladies, I'm a FTM and looking for the best option for the baby to use to sleep in my room for the first few weeks. I've read lots of reviews online about pros/cons of each, but I wanted your advice.

What's your experience with these? I have friends that LOVE the RnP sleepers, but there's studies flat spots on the babies head and comments about the incline/vibration making it difficult to transition to a crib. I also want something that would work for traveling, I will have a PnP downstairs, but I wanted another option in case we are staying somewhere with not a lot of space.

Opinion/comments please :)

    would check on the foot print of each item. We had a rock n play (non bassinet) and the legs jet out wider than the portion holding baby. As a result, when it is right next to the bed, the baby is not (she was maybe 3 to 6 inches away) which made it more challenging to use. Also made it a tripping hazard for those clumsy moments. The baby sitter ended up using it more than I did & was out in other rooms. Did like that LO was reclined in it and could rock her. Reflux was not much of an issue for us, however other moms on my BMB found it was a solution for that. Once child can roll (around 3 months) no longer useful.

    We also got a mini cosleeper from Arms reach; did not use that much either, although we didn't get it until LO was closer to the 3 months (and once she could roll, approx 3 months they reccomend stopping use).

    My advice is to picksomething that is easy for you to move so you can bring with you. Had friend who used a bassinet attachement on her stroller for day time naps in the beginning, she loved that.

    I've heard, as well, that being flat is best for baby. I had seen the Tiny Love 3 in 1 rocker napper is a great alternative to the RnP and does lie flat. I'm a FTM also, so I can't speak from experience, but we registered for the 3 in 1 and will keep the baby in a traditional flat, rocking cradle in our room in the beginning.
