This pregnancy deal has its perks!

For the first time in the four years we have been living together, DH just cleaned his own bathroom!  Then he topped it off by cleaning mine too!  It's a pregnancy miracle!  What are some of the sweet things your SO has done since finding out the big news?

  • H has really been helping out with DS.  The other night he actually did bedtime routine.

  • DH has been so sweet after DD goes to bed. Getting me water, a blanket, etc.
  • Boyfriend has been sweeter than normal. He's been catering to what I like to eat or can't stand the smell of (eggs, ew), helping more with my son and just overall complementing me. It's been pretty awesome!

    Same here! Nothing special yet

  • Hubbs gets super attentive when I'm pregnant. Last time he made me a hot breakfast everyday, packed my lunch and made dinner - everyday. He is already back on that train, which I love. He views it as a way he can contribute.

Ditto, the only thing really different is that H has to clean out the litter box now.  But I haven't really felt any different yet, so we aren't really acting different yet.
  • Clean kitchen ftw!

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.

Same here.  He expresses concern if I tell him I threw up a little (I may have exaggerated a bit to garner sympathy), or told our daughter not to jump on my stomach.  That's about it.  But that's just who he is.

ETA: Last night he did go out when I was giving DD a bath and putting her to bed to pick up some popcorn, since I wanted some.  I ended up not making any, though, since he was tired and wanted to go to bed, and I didn't feel like hanging out by myself in the basement to watch TV.  But I guess he gets props for the errand.

First pregnancy for us and DH is always checking in to see how I'm doing and even rubbed my back last night!
  • My hubs is pretty awesome anyway, but he's definitely been helping a lot with my 3yo and cooking and cleaning a lot. He's the best :)

Haha, that's the only thing I could think about too!

  • My husband is already whined about cleaning the litter box and threatened to let my hamster loose outside so he doesn't have to clean her either LOL
    Luckily he's joking ... I think ...
  • I know, right? DH is spending a lot more time with DS now and today he carried both cat carriers into the vet's office, sweet.

  • He's being super attentive and supportive, although a little stubborn in the dept of who we can/can't tell and when.

Haha, it sounds way more luxurious than it is!  We have two bathrooms in our house and both are pretty small so we each use our own to make getting ready in the morning easier.

  • Hubby has been great and being first time parents, its really cute to see him react to the new baby outfits.. He keeps holding them in his arms and pretends to be rocking a baby.. lol... I think he's just amazed at how small they'll be. I keep trying to tell them they don't come out 6 ft tall... oh! and the really nice thing is that he doesn't make too much fun of me when I cry at EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL!! ;)
  • Bf called me pudgy thinking it was a cute term -___- he made up for it though.

  • My husband pinched my nipple the other day when he was messing around. I nearly started crying. He felt really bad. He didn't even think about it.

Last night our dog puked and he cleaned it up. He's helped greatly with the gross stuff. He also just tried to find a snow blower so I don't have to help him this winter! Perk!
  • Since we got cats 5 years ago I've been looking forward to not having to clean the litter when I got pregnant. :)  It's as great as I imagined.
  • My hubby keeps telling me I'm "faking" symptoms. He asked me the other day if the baby is even two cells yet. Lol he's joking, but still, I wish I was faking sometimes, although the symptoms put my mind at ease. ;)
  • Hubby had me lay down today and gave me a 15 minute back rub and told me he just wanted to make I felt good.

Hubby stated he didn't want me to take out the garbage or pick up dog poo (we have 2 German shepherds) anymore. He also tried to drive me around a yardsale in our own neighborhood! That's where I drew the line. This will be our first, can you tell? :)

  • Life as usual in our home. He has kept the kids busy for me when I've felt sick though.

  • He tells me I'm a beautiful momma when I'm using a hair tie to close my jeans, runs to the store at the drop of a hat for more gingeral(although he keeps drinking it!) and he cleans the cat box which he moved to another bathroom bc I couldn't handle the smell even when clean. He helps with the four year old a bit more when I can't stand the constant questions! Lol I still do all the house work as usual and I have a crazy work schedule as a nurse

  • I get home late so dinner is always ready when I walk in the door! In like a man in the 1940's!
  • My husband has been amazing! He constantly asks how I am doing and what he can do for me. He cleans and goes grocery shopping so I can nap, runs to the store everyday to buy whatever I am craving at that moment, like two nights ago when I craved nachos at 9:30 at night, he makes me breakfast when I take too long getting out of bed because I am exhausted and packs my lunch for me sometimes too... I am spoiled!
