Ugh don't touch my baby!

Ok seriously frustrated with some people and their lack of dicipline for their children. We went to FIL for dinner and his girlfriends grandchildren (3 and 20 months) were over as well as their parents.

As soon as we get there the kids are all over LO. I tell them to look and not touch her. They obviously don't listen, keep touching her head, and the parents don't do anything. So I get up and say ok here's the rule no touching the baby's head at all and you have to be gentle with her.

Not ten minutes later I'm sitting on the couch with LO and the three year old jumps on the couch faster than I can react and bumps LO's head and she starts crying. Ok. I'm pissed at this point. LO only cried for a second but still it's the point, like come on tell your child to be gentle around my baby.

Still mad, I go into a room to nurse LO and get away from everybody. Then the three year old barges in, jumps on the bed, and starts yelling and poking at LO. I tell her to politely get out and she starts screaming no at me. Wth.

There is alot more I could tell but it's already long enough..sorry. I need a damn anxiety pill now! Ugh!

    That happened to me at a friends birthday party. Her family got all butthurt when i finally yelled at the kid.

    As a mom of a toddler, I can tell you all that little girl probably heard was "blah blah blah, TOUCH the BABY, blah blah." Those ages are definitely a handful, but if you made your concerns clear to their mother she definitely should have gotten a handle on it. Sorry you had a rough day. :-(

    They are at that age, they are curious about baby...Oh and don't listen worth a crap! Annoying yes, but they don't mean to be.

    Yeah I have a 3 year old and they don't listen like, AT ALL. Definitely would've been annoyed with the parents though. I hate it when other parents don't step in and discipline their kids, so then you feel like you have to. So awkward.

    Yeah I know the kids were curious and it wasn't them making me mad it was just the fact that the parents weren't doing anything to stop them from being all over her even when voicing my concerns and that LO got her head bumped.

    I just want LO to stay little forever because man that three year old seriously didn't listen worth crap lol.

    I'd be pissed at the parents. If I have to remind you to keep your kids in check when their not being careful around a baby then idk what you think of me for saying it at that point.
