Cupcake Recommendations

I am planning DD's first birthday party and we want to do cupcakes. For our wedding we used Cups in La Jolla and we loved them, but they are a little pricey. Does anyone have suggestions for other cupcake bakeries around San Diego? We are not local and are coming in to town for her birthday, otherwise I would be going around taste testing different bakeries. Thanks!

There is a place in Vista called Leroy's Sweet Potato Shack that has great cupcakes. They come I'm flavors like key like, chocolate, red velvet and sweet potato and are reasonably priced both in the mini and large size. Leroy sells them by at his shop (but you have to call in your order with at least 48 hours notice), or at the Vista Farmers Market on Saturday morning. Heaven Sent in North Par is really good. We go there a lot. Also, Cupcakes and Beyond. They used to have a shop in Poway but they closed and now just do online orders. We ordered from them for our wedding. Gil is the owner and his wife bakes. They're great.
