For those having boys...

in 2nd Trimester

and are wanting to use the name Jack/Jackson Parents.com has a list of the top 50 boys and girls names of 2008 and Jackson is #44 and Jack is #46.

 Jackson is our top pick right now and I was worried that it was getting too popular....looks like it isn't as popular as I thought

    this site gives you the top names in the country for the previous year - it's pretty cool.... It's from social security - so not just a "guess" but based on actual babies who were born and got SS cards.

    you can also search by state, etc.

    i wouldnt pick anything in the top 100.. it will shoot up the list before you know it because people are popping those babies out like crazy!

    I think that if you want to use the name, you should use it. You know it's popular and if you love it, then use it!

    Awesome!  DS's name didn't even make the list!  (Which is kinda surprising since it's not exactly uncommon.)  Our other pics are all in the top 15.  I'm glad we choose what we did!

    Oh, using the Social Security link our name is in the top 30.  Kind of a bummer, but at least it's not super high on the list.

    We just found out last week we are having a boy and we are almost 99% sure we are doing to name him Jackson too. DH and always said for the last 2 years if we have a boy we will name him Jackson. We love that name and I know what you mean about fretting over it being too popular but in the end if you like it then name him it! Who cares if it is popular if anything it is a compliment that others like your name choice. That is my take on it. :)
