Shoes

My DS has one pair of sneakers that fit him. I got them at Stride Rite. I want to get him an extra pair but am hoping to buy something cheaper.

Where are you buying shoes lately for LO?

I'm not looking to spend a lot but it's hard since LO has wide feet. Any ideas?

Re: Shoes

  • Well, Anja doesn't have really wide feet, but I get most of her wardrobe, including shoes, from Target. You may call me a Target-aholic. Anywho, she has a couple pair of Circo sneakers. They're cute, seemingly comfortable, and best of all, they're cheap.

  • I love converse for my kids, they're light, flexible, cute, and cheap. And easy to get their feet in!!!

DD also has wide feet and wears shoes from Stride Rite.  I bought her a cheaper pair from Zulily & she wore them once.  When I took them off she had marks on her feet so I felt bad and she never wore them again.  So I'm nervous to try another cheap pair.  Sorry, I'm no help.

  • Stride Rite made 2 play and they also have another similar style, DS also has wide feet and these fit him great.  You will never get a wide foot baby in to a converse - I had to sell a pair DS never wore because his feet were so fat!

  • Stride Rite seems to be the best place for wide feet I guess. I will check Target and see if they have shoes for wide feet. Hopefully they have something cheaper.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

  • I'm a big fan of pediped! I'm not sure if they're ideal for wide feet though... Charlotte has pretty average feet, I think, and they work great for her.

  • We are stuck with Stride Rite, too. To try to save money but still have two pairs of wearable shoes, I got him the next half size up. So right now he can wear a 4 or a 4.5. When he outgrows the 4, he will fit the 5 that I bought with the 4.5 when they were on BOGO 1/2 off. (Does that make sense? I feel like I'm not explaining it well.) They also have 20% off coupons frequently if you sign up for them. And be sure to do the survey on your receipt. I'm fairly sure you can stack that $5 off survey coupon with the BOGO sales.
