Breast milk

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I can't do a search.
My DH bottle fed LO a bottle for the first time tonight and LO didn't eat the full amount (3 oz). It came from the refrigerator from my pumping session this morning (at 6am). I warmed the milk under the faucet with hot water. There's 2 oz left. Can I safely freeze it?
(It's about 8:45pm now)

Eta: Not sure how "legit" this is, but this is why we don't heat out milk up. I figure if the milk isn't warm, bacteria growth is slowed some. I still would never refreeze, but I don't hesitate to save milk for the next feeding in the fridge!

I'm fairly sure that since your LO already ate from it, they say to dump it, due to any bacteria that could have gotten in the bottle from your baby. I know people who have saved the milk for the next feeding, but I wouldn't refreeze it if I were you.

Maybe try and feed her again in another hour or so? LO will sometimes get hungry again after an hr and whatever is left in the bottle seems to satisfy him. I do 4 oz and he usually takes 3, then the last oz within the next 1-2 hours.

Like pp said, don't freeze milk that's already been eaten from.

If they don't finish, I save until the next feeding in the fridge and then reheat.

They rarely don't finish. I always try to underestimate what they'll eat. You can always hear up a little more and less likely to overfeed, which is easy to do w a bf baby.

No to freezing but you can stick it in the fridge and reuse it at the next feeding. But after it is warmed up twice I would toss it.

I express and bottle and generally keep the next feed out at room temp and don't heat it up. If I give refrigerated milk I would hear it and throw out any left over, if it hasn't been heated I give it to her at the start if the next feed

I would leave it out for no more than 4 hours, from the time it came out of the fridge, in hopes that LO would eat more. Just remove the nipple and put a new one on so that any bacteria from baby's mouth doesn't sit and effect the milk. From the searches I've done i go by not heating milk more than once and never refreezing. Try warm water instead of hot to warm up, its supposedly better for the integrity of the milk. GL!

You can't freeze it, but use it at the next feeding. If you don't want to use a bottle, save the milk labeled not for drinking. Milk helps with baby acne cradle cap diaper rash
