any suggestions for baby bottles that are better for babies who will be switching between breast and bottle? i know a few of them but i'm looking for something that isn't super expensive
I liked Avent and Playtex Drop Ins. Playtex are probably cheapest but you will have to keep buying liners (hint-use the target brand). My babies switched between both of these brands and breast with no issues.
I loved Playtex Drop Ins for DS1. You can actually get the kit and pump directly into the liners.
With DS2 he only will take Tommee Tippee or me. He would not take Playtex or the Medela ones that I had with the pump.
I think it depends on the baby. I would just get 3 packs of 2 or 3 kinds to start until you know what baby likes. Some babies will take anything and some like DS2 are very specific in what they like.
Dr Browns and Nuk seem to be the most popular at daycare (at least over the last 2 years) so those might be ones to look at too.

Dr. Brown's bottles worked best for us. DS has been breast fed for a year before we switched to whole milk and sippy cups, and he never had an issue with that brand. It was a pain to wash all those parts after every feeding, but it was no real issue for me.
I just wanted to add that whatever bottles you get, buy the larger size. We made the mistake of buying a ton of 4oz bottles only to have to go out and buy 9oz ones later on.

The larger bottles may not be a great idea for a breastfed baby. They only drink about 4-5 oz. at a time, or at least that's how my LO was.
