Britax advocate or roundabout

I'm trying to decide which carseat to purchase, the Britax Roundabout or Advocate. We had a roundabout and loved it, my truck was stollen so we must replace it. I've got a baby on the way so my two year old will be setting next to the door soon.
I'm wondering if the side collision is worth an extra 125 or not. I can get the Roundabout today for 150 $ or wait a month and get the Advocate for 275 $.

Any thoughts or advise?

Re: Britax advocate or roundabout

  • I have a Roundabout and a Boulevard. I far prefer the Roundabout. The boulevard (which doesn't even have as much extra head protection as an advocate) is harder to get her in and out of (although its better now that she is forward facing). Also, the foam has snapped twice on my boulevard, but never on my roundabout. I am thinking about throwing out the boulevard and getting another Roundabout!

  • The Roundabout has a smaller shell and weight limit.  Your two year old will be able to use the advocate longer.  Have you looked at the Boulevard?  It is between the Marathon and Advocate.
I don't have any issues getting my kids in and out of the car seat rear facing and front facing.

  • Neither. Short shells and $$$$. Look into the True Fit Recline. Love ours.
