I just plan on waiting until I'm home. I'm a FTM, and figure there will be enough other stuff to be figuring out, and one less thing to pack along there and home, too.
I'm waiting until we get home and the diaper service starts. (Plus the early meconium poops supposedly stain like whoa, and I'd rather not deal with that at first.)

I packed a CD to bring my son home in which we did. Before that he was in the diapers from the hospital. He looked super cute in it and it was great until my first night home with him. I don't know anyone IRL who CDs and as a FTM, changing a newborn in the middle of the night was challenging enough, on top of the CD learning curve. First thing in the morning I sent my exhausted husband out to buy pampers because I just couldn't deal. We had him in pampers for about a week and it was the best decision ever. It also meant that my (huge) family who visited a lot could actually help with a diaper change because my sisters won't touch a CD with a ten foot pole!
So anyway, lesson learned! This time I'll have all my CDs prepped at home but also use some nice chemical free sposies during that first week or so...for the new baby and our 18 mo.
I'm not worried about the hospital throwing them away because he won't be leaving my room with out DH or I to accompany him. And we are getting some fleece liners to use when is still the meconium. I didn't CD until DS1 was almost 8 weeks old so I'm really excited this time. And DS1 diapers will still have to be washed so adding NB's to the mix isn't a big deal.
I can't wait to see pictures of everyone's babies with their fluff on!!!
We are going to start after we arrive home. Since we aren't paying for the sposies at the hospital, I don't mind. She will come home in a CD and we will continue to CD from there.
Re: CD moms......
That and I'm not sure how many days we'll be in the hospital. I had a vaginal birth last time, but you never know.
