Do you reheat frozen veggies?

Hi, FTM here and I am introducing solids to my LO soon.  When I make veggies (sweet potatoes) ahead of time, freeze the remainder and go to reserve the frozen portions, what temp should I serve them at?  Room temp or wamer?  Do you reheat them in the microwave or just leave it in the fridge for a day or so to let it defrost?

TIA!

Re: Do you reheat frozen veggies?

  • I take it out a few hours before feeding and leave in a ziplock or a container with a lid, but I do heat it for a few seconds just so it gets smooth otherwise the water kinda separates from the food and its kind of gritty I find.

  • I usually pop it in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. That usually defrosts it and its not too hot. If it is hot I put an ice cube in it and stir til the food is warm, not cold.
