Didn't you just have a birthday? Am I remembering that correctly? How are you doing? You're getting close to 2nd tri aren't you? Hope all is well!
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.

    Thank you so much for reaching out to me :)  I have been somewhat missing in action since work has been unbelievably crazy, hectic, stressful...leaving me little time for much else of anything :(   But it's Friday and am able to get caught up on what's been happening with you lovely ladies.

    So, yes, I turned the big 41 on Wednesday.  DH and I took the day off and we went shopping, had a nice meal, and just spent the day being joyful together.   As much as I hate getting one year older, I am so happy to be rid of my 40th year of life.  Thankfully, the last few months of 40 were quite the blessing, but the first nine months were tragic, sad, and heartbreaking.  41 will be the best year of my life!

    Today I am 10w4d and LO is doing great.  We has our first OB appt at 9w2d and LO was fluttering away; we have our next appt on 10/16 for bloodwork followed by our NT scan and MaterniT21 on 10/28 (I will be 13 weeks at the NT scan).  I am nervous about it, but am trying to remain positive and optimistic.  I am wishing for a little girl (lucky you :)) and will be wonderful to learn the sex with our MaterniT21.

    As you and other ladies know who have experienced a m/c, it is hard not to worry all the time that something will go wrong.  Since we became pregnant, I have been riddled with worry, anxiety, and fear that LO will leave us.  So to combat these emotions, we ordered a Sonoline fetal doppler and it arrived on my b-day.  Within a few minutes, we found LO's heartbeat racing at 188bpm, and did it again last night and found LO's heartbeat.  It was so amazing and reassuring for us to be able to hear the heartbeat and know that everything is okay.   I love having the ability to hear LO's heartbeat whenever I want and not having to wait until our next u/s, especially for the unreal price of $65.

    I hope all is well with you, Guennie.  You must be getting so close to giving birth.  How far along are you again?  
    Me, 41; DH 38; TTC since July 2012, 1st round of Clomid, BFP on 10/19, what an incredible blessing!  M/c on 7w3d; D&C on 11/30; 4th round of Clomid 100mg = BFP on 04/19!!! M/c #2 at 7w; D&C on 5/30, then repeat D&C on 7/1.  Saline u/s on 8/2, uterus looks great!  Will start TTC in 09/13 w/ Clomid 100mg. Surprise natural BFP on 8/25!!! Beta #1=95, #2=182, #3=404!  EDD 5/4/13...Grow baby grow!

    Oh you are so close to 2nd tri, hang in there!! I do understand the fears, they don't ever completely go away but they lessen greatly as you progress and become overshadowed by the joy and amazement you feel as you hit each milestone.

    I will be 34 weeks on Monday! I cannot believe I've come this far and the end is near. The final phase of 3rd tri is definitely challenging but I'm just so much in love with my baby girl. I can't wait to meet her and hold her in my arms.

    I'm so glad you had a nice bday and I'm sure 41 will be a better year for you as you welcome your lo into this world. So glad the Doppler is giving you some comfort as well! I hope things will settle down a bit for you at work so you can really enjoy and embrace 2nd tri. Try not to stress yourself out about the testing, chances are everything will be great! And it will be so exciting to find out what you're having. Keep us posted!! And Happy Bday! :)

    Hydrangeagirl, thanks for the idea of the Sonoline doppler! I totally want one and will order one if I hang onto this lil one for awhile!

    Wow Guennie, you really are coming close to delivering your little girl.  You must be so excited. I look forward to getting to second tri, and hopefully work will settle down soon so I can really start enjoying my pregnancy!

    You can order the doppler from fetaldoppler.net, but you can order the same one from ebay and it will come directly from China in about 3+ weeks for half the cost.  We were anxious so we just paid the higher price to have it delivered for free two days after we placed the order!  We ordered the Sonoline C1.  Good luck to you!
