Target Brand Formula Price Increase

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that Target raised the price of their Up and Up formula by $2 a container, just as WIC and SNAP programs have been jeopardized by the government shutdown? I don't want to sound like a total tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, but it seems like Target is trying to price-gouge people who need formula right now, since they don't have to offer it at the cheaper government price. I was also curious if anyone noticed the price of formula going up at other stores.

    The formula price went up before the shutdown and its still a deal compared to name brand.

    I did not notice that. What I did notice is I can get a 40 oz container for what a 20 oz container of enfamil costs. Also for those of you who use up & up formula if you download targets cartwheel app on your phone, they have a savings on there to save 5% off.

    I have noticed it, but I agree that the cost went up before govt shutdown. Also, like pp said, I still feel like its a steal compared to name brand.
