Grandpa vent

Ugh! I hate to complain, but as a SAHM, I truly rely heavily on you ladies for support and conversation in general. If you don't want to read the nitty gritty, skip to the last paragraph.

So, I am trying to help my little sister (the one who was diagnosed with cancer last year) purchase her first car. To make a long story as short as possible, my dad is an a**hole, but she needs him to co-sign on the loan with her. So, she has been trying her best to deal with him and last night she called me crying and said that he doesn't want to help her, so here comes big sister Ashley to the rescue again!

So, in the midst of trying to help her with insurance, she had an accident that my dad's insurance took care of, so I had to call him to try to get the details. I called him and asked how he was doing and he immediately started with the negative comments about me and my sister. I held my calm and he ended up getting frustrated with that an hung up on me! What an ass!

So here is the real part of my vent...he did not even as much as ask how Chloe was or anything about her for that matter! I have not seen him since June at her first birthday (which he only stayed for 1 hour for) and he never calls/emails to ask about her or us for that matter. No happy birthday, no how are you, nothing! Yet, he LOVES to preach how IMPORTANT family is!! Vent over! Thanks for being a shoulder to bitch on.

Ugh sounds like just a bad situation, and then to have him be so mean about it is hard. Hopefully things get to going better for her soon and he becomes a more attentive grandpa to your little girl.

Boo he sucks! Sorry to hear that. FWIW I'm usually the person that ends up stepping up to help my little sister too. So I know where you are coming from with that.
