What to expect at high risk consult

Hi ladies... I've been a lurker but want to know what I can expect my high risk consult on Monday. With ds, I had pre-e and delivered 4. Weeks early by c-section.. This pregnancy has been great so far.. About 1 1/2 years ago I had two mini strokes.... My regular ob wants me to see a high risk... What can expect from the visit? They have already pulled all of my medical records. Thanks in advance

    They will probably want to discuss in detail your past pregnancy as well as discuss expectations this time and how your condition can affect the pregnancy. Will they be doing an ultrasound? If so they will discuss what they see on that!

    Expect them to take your BP issues more strict. My last pregnancy my BP was 120/80 and I was consider boarderline hypertensive. Expect more visits and maybe even more ultrasounds. Your consult all depends on how far you are and what haven't you already had done at your regular ob. I would ask what's their form of action if indeed you do develop pre-e agai? . What medications do they offer if you show signs of hypertension? Best of luck

    Thanks ladies... Meet the high risk dr today... For the time being they will split me between the ob and high risk. All ultrasounds and any testing will be done at the high risk office.
