frustrated about why i have to go back to work

I am so frustrated because when I go back to work full time, I am literally working to pay for daycare and our health insurance. If it wasnt for the (over expensive not that good) family plan I'm on, I'd stay at home w my little love. To make matters worse, I will owe back $1600 for health care during my FMLA leave. Its 2 months away but it makes me so sad:( Anyone else basically working for health coverage?

  • I am exactly in the same boat! I'm looking for night and weekend jobs right now that include benefits so that I can stay home during the day. Good luck!!!

  • I'm kind of in the same boat. Right now we use my insurance and if I stop working we have to use husband's, which is way worse than mine. We could afford for me not to work if we weren't going to have to start paying a ton for health insurance. I'm still hoping to arrange a part time position and my husband is looking for a job with better benefits. Now that I have my baby I really do not want to go back to work!

  • Same here, although, thankfully, I won't owe that much back. Ouch.

  • Can you stay at home for a year / year and a half and then go back to work? DH doesn't want me to not work completely so that's the deal we made - I am staying home for a year with LO and then gonna go back to work
  • Kinda the same here too. I actually have to return to work a bit early due to finances. :(
I try to always look at the bright side. Such as - I'm lucky to have insurance, I'm lucky to have this job that provides these benifits. Having the money to pay for these things makes me appreciate what I do have and what I can provide for LO. I know it's frustrating but we gotta do what we gotta do. Our little ones are depending on us. I'm mobile I wish I could do a "double rainbow" gif. Lol!!!
