Our kitchen at work is disgusting. People leave old food in the fridge, spill stuff and don't wipe it up, stack crusty dishes and coffee mugs in the sink, etc. A few people cleaned it up a bit last night, and now I have been given the task of coming up with a sign that basically says "Don't be a slob." So I need a more clever way of saying that. I know this board can help.
Re: Calling all smartasses
This. At my office - "if you spill it, wipe it up. No one wants to eat their lunch on top of the remains of your lunch"

I made that for my old office's kitchenette
This is a SELF-Cleaning kitchen: Clean up after yourself
That's what I'd want my sign to say. I realize I was no help so I apologize.

Kitchen Etiquette:
As you all know, we have a small "lunch room" facility with coffee, fridge, toaster, micro-wave, etc. It is very important that all members of the Firm using these facilities follow the following "common sense" rules:
1. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF! Pick up wrappers, don't leave bags on the table, push in the chairs, clean the table and chairs, replace the salt an pepper shakers, don't leave crap in the sink (there have been several problems with clogs), wipe down the counter, pick up your crap off of the floor (sugar packet wrappers, stirrers, etc.), clean up your bagel crumbs, clean all appliances you use, if you read the newspaper / magazines, put them away (don't just leave them spread all over the table), change the water bottle when needed.
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW AND BANNED FROM THE KITCHEN!
Thanks for your help, I know everyone would want a nice, neat kitchen to enjoy.
I would love to see some of my co-workers houses to see if they are as big a slob as they are here at work. And now I'm on a spiral... help
