36 week update + room pix + belly pix

So, as I suspected just before my appointment last week, the baby has in fact "dropped." I can tell not only from the way I am carrying now, but also the way I feel. It is EXTREMELY difficult to walk, and pretty much any time I am standing or walking it is very, very uncomfortable. The baby is so low and is putting so much pressure down there that it is almost unbearable. I know I can't complain, because I have had it very easy for the entire 36 weeks so far, and this is the first of any real "symptoms" I've had. So I will take that over anything else!

In other news, I've updated our baby blog with LOTS of new things. We have pretty much finished the room (all we need now is a rug) so I put all the before and after pictures online. Also, I updated pix from my baby shower, as well as all my "belly pix" that I've been taking every 2 weeks.

  • Beautiful job decorating the nursery!!!!! You must have a great camera because I tried taking pictures just like yours and they came out "dark". Yours look so professional!!! Where did you find the expresso ledges for the wall?? I also saved that picture you have as an inspiration for Mikey' room (it's also sports-themed) but haven't been able to find them that short??!!!???

Chase looks like he might be making an appearance in no time!!!!!

  • Thank you SO much everyone! I appreciate all your comments :)

I am really happy with how the room turned out so far. Now if only I can just find a rug!

    To answer your questions...

Dawn - the cake was from Passion for Pastry in Boca. And it was soooooo good! She got me the Key Lime flavor (my favorite!) ?

MrsGiviRN - I had to LOL at your comment that "the photos look so professional" because I am a photojournalist! :)?Funny!

Also I still haven't found the espresso wall ledges, that is the last thing I still haven't done (I have all the accessories to put on them, just can't find the ledges that short, just like you said!) I am still looking! Let me know if you find anything and I will too!

  • the room is adorable! great job.

    and what a nice shower!

i hope you're not too uncomfortable for too long : (

  • i love the room! its so nice! where did you get the furniture from? it's lovely!
  • Stacey the room looks fabulous! I'm sure your little man is going to love it! The colors are so warm and soothing. And if I may add, you look great! You are almost there!!!!
  • kaysuhdeeya - We bought the furniture at Ideal Baby (which is a long HAUL for us, it's way out west in Pembroke Pines - we live in Delray Beach). It is made by Munire and it is the Urban Collection in Espresso. We got the crib, dresser/changing table and hutch. They also had an armoire which we did not get. But if you go back into my blog and scroll all the way to the bottom (the very first post) you will see the information I posted about the furniture.?And FYI - The Munire collection received an "A" rating for their safety, so that was also a big plus.?
