Hi! I'm 6 wks PP and I think I have diastasis rect. This was my third pregnancy and with my first two my belly did not look like this. Can anyone share their experiences? Did it go away? TIA
I had a mild separation after my first pregnancy (singleton). It did resolve with exercise for me (I am a physical therapist). Whether or not it will resolve on it's own depends on the severity. I am pretty concerned of how bad it will be for me after this pregnancy! If you are concerned, you could try finding a physical therapist that has experience with post-partum women and diastasis recti to have it assessed. Good luck!

I agree with rcnavywife - find a PT who specializes in postpartum issues. I had a 4-finger separation and corrected it with PT in about 6 weeks. It was tough but so worth it!
