dh and hernia surgery vent

Well my dh had hernia surgery Monday morning and has basically slept all day and night!
I realize he can't pick up DS, he's 2.5 yrs, and DD who is 4 months old. But I'm mentally and physically exhausted BC having dh home for 2 weeks is gonna wear me thin BC its changed our schedule up. I'm a sah mom.
I love dh but wow I didn't realize that he would just want to sleep 24/7! When I had my csection, I was getting up during the night as soon as they took my catheter out. Dh went home that night BC he was tired!! I shouldn't compare surgeries but I want to tell him to suck it up and be present!!! But that would cause a huge fight.
I just needed a place to vent!! I'm tired and haven't had any mom alone time in soo long. Dh was gone for a week elk hunting then home a few days before his surgery.
Blah! I'm exhausted!!
Excuse my rambling. I just needed to vent!!

    My dh had hernia surgery before we had our lo. It was like he had a man cold x10000000. You have all my sympathies. And wine. You can have all the wine and chocolate.

    O thank you! He fell asleep at 8 last night and slept all night. I put both kids in bed around 9 then picked up and went to bed around 10 but DS woke up at 6:30 and I'm the one who got up with him.
