Hey mamas, Thomas Robert was born today 10/10, 4 days ahead of EDD. He is a whoping 10 lbs 9 oz and 22 inches. I'm a FTM and it was a vaginal delivery and I only have a second degree tear!! DH and I are so in love with our little sumo wrestler!!

Long version: I went in on Tuesday for my 39 week visit. The OB measured my fundal height at 43 cms. I had slightly elevated BP (139/90, my usual is 110/70) and slight protein in my urine. I had no other complications the whole pregnancy. Baby had consistently been measuring about a week ahead but these last few weeks had some growth spurts. The OB recommended induction as I was already 4 cm and 70% effaced. So I went in to work on Tuesday to close out everything for my mat leave. Wednesday they started my induction at noon, 39 weeks and 2 days. I had pitocin and an epidural and by 10:30 am Thursday (today) was finally 10 cm and ready to push. Big T was here by 11:16 am. I seriously can't believe I did it that fast or that he is that big!!!
