are you all ready-to-go at the end of each day so just in case you don't come back? if so, when did you start being "ready"? and if not..when do you plan on being ready?

at 37+2, i'm not quite ready closing out everything, and am just wondering what others do.

i am writing up an official hand-off of all my responsibilities for my maternity leave on Monday. as far as everything being wrapped up, it will never be 100% in my line of work, so if i go into labor they will have to deal with it. *shrug

I finally got my desk caught up project wise last week. I'm 39 weeks. I am avoiding any potentially long term work and just doing day to day things from now until I go into labor.

We have a family business, but I'm the only one that really does my job. I showed my mom how to access what she might need to. Other than that they are on their own:)

I am due Monday. I'm going to pack up some items to take with me tonight, just in case something is crazy at my appt tomorrow and I don't come back. I take my laptop with me every day, which is like 90% of what I need anyway.

My replacement has been handling my work for some time now under my supervision. I leave everyday expecting to not be back the next. My last day is actually tomorrow (40w!!) so anything she doesn't know how to handle at this point is her problem. I'm done.

I'm 37 weeks, 2 days and since last week I basically pack up each day like it's my last. I don't have a ton going on, so it's not too hard to do. I also think it's just wishful thinking on my part.

As of yesterday I was ready at work. I am 38w3d today.
I just need to do my daily work. No more projects coming my way. All my other projects are done.

I think I finally got everything the way I wanted it at about 38w4d (that'd be like three days ago). I caught up some stuff and left a note with important passwords and my cell phone number. I'm not being replaced but other attorneys in my office are planning to split up my files, but they have yet to take any action to do so, so I think when I finally don't show up one day they are going to have a little awakening

This week I spent some time cleaning up my desk, bringing some stuff home, etc. and today was my last day going into the actual office. I've been pushing most of everything off to my replacement, so at this point I'm ready to get this party started! Next week will likely be hella boring, and I'll probably spend more time getting things done around the house then working. I'm 38w3d

I'm in finance and the billing period is just about over so those covering me in that role are pretty much set to handle it next month. For all other day to day tasks, I cc my backup so she knows exactly what I'm working on and can take over pretty easily.

I've been prepping my work spouse who will be handling my duties while I'm gone. I've been handing off a lot of stuff to her to get her prepared. I have all of my projects wrapped up and I cleaned my office last week :0)

I finished my last big project today - now it's just simple maintenance... the 18th (39w2) is officially my last day, but only for 4 weeks. At that time I go back (Friday's only) for the next 3 months to check in and keep the place running.

I just had my C section scheduled yesterday. I had my last one on one with my boss today. She sent an email informing our team that my mat leave starts tomorrow and to ask last minute questions.

To prep to be out, I've been sending emails with file locations and granting access to drives and internal sites. I cleaned out my emails so my email box won't be overflowing when I get back. I am so ready to go out.

39 weeks today and still working. I do my best to have everything ready at the end if each day in case I don't come back. Just trained my SECOND replacement today..hoping I don't feel well enough to go back tomorrow. I thought id be able to work until my baby was born..but I was wrong. Friday will be my last day if I keep feeling how I'm feeling and I don't even care.

I've been training my temp for a month now and luckily she's got everything down to where I haven't lifted a finger in 3 weeks. Tomorrow's my last day (due on Tuesday) but I can say it's been nice getting paid to sit there and read these last weeks.

I pretty much knew the doc was going to take me off work at one point. So I made sure all my shit was done and ready before I went to that appt. she had asked me if I wanted to go 2 weeks pryor due to all the pelvic pain I was having. I wasn't ready at that time though.

I WAH now, but last time I put in a ton of over time preparing for the just in case. I wanted to be as ready and ahead as possible each day. But I worked in a small business and it was busy season. So it's not like there were plenty to take my place or anything.

I just took a VP position about 4 months ago and I have so many "to do" items I never could complete them all in time before I leave. I struggle through each day trying to get as many things accomplished as possible, but seem to have 3 new items added each day. It's hard for me since I know I'm going out soon and my hands are tied!
