Having a baby has changed SVU for me

I loved Law and Order: SVU before I had a baby, and now I can't barely watch it! They sneak in abducted/murdered kids all the time, and the fact that the parents are just a little sniffly when they talk about their missing kids is so unconvincing. If my kid went missing I wouldn't be able to form words for days.

    Girl, you aren't kidding.  I think of everybody that way Benson does now.  Everybody is a potential suspect.  Our midweek dates are the new episodes of SVU and I tear up during them now and have told my husband that it pisses me off that parents are so blase about it.  I'd be out hunting someone down.

    Have y'all seen the Hillary Duff/vaccinations one?  I saw it for the first time since having B the other day and was so mad at the anti-vax mom. ha

    I can't watch anything like that anymore. I also used to be a scary movie buff, but not anymore. It just gets me thinking about scary things happening to K and there is nothing more horrifying than imagining anything bad happening to him. It's pathetic how much more emotional I've become about that stuff!

    Totally agree. At some particularly tense moments at the end of the final Breaking Bad season, I wasn't sure I could enjoy the show anymore!

    I never was into that stuff before, but now - definitely not!  Sometimes I tear up at commercials and inspiring segments on morning shows.  I'd be a snotty mess (not to mention not be able to ever sleep again) if I even caught 5 minutes of SVU.
