Pain in outer labia

Hi I'm Johanna I just had my baby Gemma on Sunday the 6. I am having pain right above the spot where my stitches start. It's on the inside of my outer labia. It feels like tiny paper cuts. It's even more painful than the stitches! Has anyone experienced this? Should I move my 6 week appt to a sooner time? Thanks for the advice ladies

    Are you using witch hazel? I would try that before making any phone calls. That area is going to bother you for a few weeks :( I'm not sure about the paper cut feeling...?

    I used Dermoplast (took home can from hospital) for 2 weeks after along with wipes that had aloe in them.  A little over 2 weeks after delivery (3rd degree lacerations with stitches) I can actually say it's getting better and I can sit comfortably.

    I am using both the witch hazel pads and the spray. It relieves the pain for a while. I am just worried I will tear stitches and make the tear worse.

    I have had this to, I just make sure the area is dry after each bathroom visit if all else fails tucks pads are great

    Is the area red and/or itchy? Could be an external yeast infection. I had one that caused that paper cut feeling.
    Due with #5 April 22, 2015. It's a girl!!!!! 

     Yes it was planned, yes we know what causes that, no we are not on public assistance, and yes we will be getting cable after this. ;)
