Speechless - Fert Report

Well ladies they just called and I am speechless, out of the 10 mature ones retrieved yesterday ALL TEN fertilized and are showing normal!

I had to try not to cry when she said that.  (I'm still a bit emotional) She said they will call on Day 3 (Friday) if there are any problems.  Otherwise they will call Day 5 & 6 (Sunday & Monday) to update us on the criteria and how many will make it to freeze.  

So as of now so far so good!

    BFP 11/11/13 IUI#2 clomid+trigger+prometrium

    Beta #1 14dpIUI=106; Beta #2 16dpIUI=287; Beta #3 20dpIUI=1158

    5w6d 1 hb 109 and 2nd smaller sac; 7w0d 1 hb 125 and confirmed vanishing twin

    Hooray!!! I had the exact same number as you: 11R, 10M and 10F. We had them all go to day 5, transfered 1 and froze 2.

    Sounds very positive that you will have lots to choose from - congrats!!

    After 3 failed Clomid+TI cycles, DD was conceived with IUI#1

    TTC #2

    Clomid 50 mg + IUI#1  = BFP, m/c and D&C at 7w1d

    Clomid 50mg + IUI#2 = BFN

    Clomid 100mg + IUI#3 = BFN

    Lupron + Follistim + IVF#1 = 11ER, 10M, 10F, ET of 1 expanded BBA 5-day blast, 2 Frosties. BFP! Beta 10/13 = 264! Beta 10/15 = 702! EDD 6/21/14

    @gmc222 I was going to ask how that works, what is the criteria they decide on the freeze?  I guess I thought they froze them all?  10 must be a lucky number. I'm still in shock that we had so many with me having DOR.

    Great report!! Fx for the next few days!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    BFP #1 ended in MMC. Discovered Oct 2005 @10w5d, baby stopped growing around 6w. D&C.
    BFP#2 Nov 2005. Baby's heart stopped @ 8w3d. D&C Jan 2006. Trisomy 18
    BFP#3 Nov 2006. My "miracle baby" DD born 7/25/07
    BFP #4 11/6/12. EDD 7/16/13~my birthday! No sac found @ 5w1d, betas not increasing. Natural m/c started 11/20/12.

    BFP#5 11/9/13.  EDD 7/21/14  Our beautiful rainbow born on his due date!!

    Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Did they do ICSI with all 10? Our RE is planning on doing 50/50 half ICSI, half throw some eggs and sperms in a bucket and see what happens? Is there a shorter term for this method? I guess they call it "natural IVF" lol 


    I am so effing stoked for you girl!! I knew those eggs were gonna be rockstars!!

    I am assuming all ICSI, because yesterday after retrieval when she came to tell me how many they got, she said 'We will see how they look after ICSI and call you.'  I knew when she called it was good news cuz I could totally hear it her voice. She said All 10 fertilized, and I said Wha?!?! And she kinda laughed. I said are you serious.  She said yes this is great!  I'm still in shock.  I hope they all keep plugging away! 
    LOL Yes I think they actually do call it 'natural IVF' haha

    @freakyfast I actually have no idea what criteria they used, in fact I actually thought they would have frozen more. Their procedure is to send you a letter in the mail with all the information about what they froze, but my nurse gave me a heads' up that it was 2 when I was on the phone with her about something unrelated (a chicken pox outbreak at DD's daycare - yikes!).

    Thank you! We are doing a freeze all.  I have to have my tubes removed before my RE will do a transfer.  I have blocked tubes and a hydro in one tube, that greatly reduces our chances of IVF working.  So probably do a transfer in December. FX.  He wanted to make sure that he could get eggs.  We are also doing genetic testing on the embryos.

    I will hear tomorrow if there is a problem she said.  If not I won't hear from them until Day 5 & 6  (Sunday & Monday).  I know it is realistic to think that we will lose some.  I just hope they freeze every single one that they can.  I have been in a serious panic about them destroying them for some reason. 
    Oh and yes on the day 6 freeze.

    Everything about IVF is effing terrifying! I know this will be me next month. I am already ruminating on the possibility of Oing before I get there for retrieval and I haven't even started my injects yet. It's all effing scary. 

    I am thinking of your little eggies every day and sending lots of positive vibes for an awesome freeze!

    Thanks darling!  After you said you were worrying about 'o'ing early.  Its all I could think about beforehand.  I thought what if they get in there and they are all gone.  
    It is scary... one worry to the next.  I will let you know if I hear anything tomorrow.  You all will be the 2nd to know after DH.  ;)
