Baby Name On Shower Invite

I haven't seen my shower invite but was just told by someone who got theirs today that my name isn't any where on the invite. It has our little girls name but not mine. Is that odd? The friend who did the invites said the template didn't have a spot for Mommy- only baby. Anyone else finding this? Or had their babies name on invite? I've never heard of it and know it's not that big of a deal.... I'm just a little worried about confusion and people not knowing who the shower is for since my name is not on it.

    Your name should definitely be on the invitation. At the very least because when people go online to look up your registry, they may or may not know how to correctly spell your name.

    I think the person who did your invitations was confused. It's definitely not customary to include the baby's name on the invite and not the mother's. (Not to mention, the baby doesn't technically have a name until it's born and given a birth certificate. You could change your mind at any point.) Personally, I would be worried about the mistake too, since I would assume not everyone knows the baby's name. It's not something to get upset about your friend over, since it sounds like an honest mistake. But I'd definitely start double checking with all of the people who were invited to make sure they know it was for you.

    I actually received an invite like this.....it was a bit confusing at first, but I figured out who it was for! (It would of been helpful if the invite had said "Baby" before the name... But instead just had her whole name). The last name clued me in, plus I was somewhat prepared to receive a shower invite for the mom to be because she was pregnant with her first! I agree though, these types of invites can be confusing, especially if they leave the "baby" part off.

    I felt it was odd as well. But people are figuring out that it is for me :-) (most people were expecting an invite). I'm just trying to stay positive and appreciate what people are doing for the shower. And I hope the lack of my name doesn't cause confusion...
