Hello, my little one is almost 5 weeks old. He began eating up to 4 oz after a transition from similac advanced to similac sensitive this past weekend. Today he has been eating only about 2 oz and has spit up a couple of times. Is this normal? He was consistent before today.
Re: Feeding
I have found that how many ounces taken in at a certain age really varies from baby to baby. 4 ounces every feeding for 5 weeks does seem like a lot, but you never know. I don't think there is a set amount that all babies should have. It just depends on how they are tolerating it I guess. My son is 11 weeks and takes anywhere from 3-5 ounces each feeding.
As long as you are getting enough wet diapers and a poop or so, I wouldn't be too concerned. But of course call the doctor if you are!
