This is an open check-in for those with a loss of a LO and/or EDD in September.

~NEW MEMBERS~ If you are new with a recent 2013 loss, welcome and (((hugs))). I’m so sorry for your loss and that you find yourself here but I hope you’ll find that this is an amazing place to give & receive love and support. Please introduce yourself and be sure to include your loss/EDD to be added to the list.

~CURRENT MEMBERS~ Happy Thursday ladies! Big (((hugs))) to all who need them. As you may already know, our fearless leader @uneek1323 has stepped down from running this check-in and I will do my best to fill her shoes. Please be patient (and kind!) with this transition, although I’m hoping things go smoothly! I felt so many emotions when I first joined TTCAL but the one that stands out the most is the feeling of being overwhelmed. Then I found this check-in and I felt connected. So this is me “paying it forward” in a sense.

A big thank you to @uneek1323 for running the check-in for so long and a huge thank you to @ashellypnut for taking it over! You are both pretty amazing.

Updates: Not much is going on with me. Still recovering from my D&C and getting a little more strength back every day. I'm looking forward to feeling normal (physically) again and being able to do all the stuff I want to do. We are going to be discussing our next steps in regards to testing at our follow up on Nov 8th. I kind of wish it were sooner now. But until then, we're just chugging along.

QOTW: I'm a righty but have always been totally awed my lefties. Not sure why, but when I find out someone is a lefty, I'm just like "you're cool".

Sorry I haven't participated in the last 2 or 3 check ins, I was sort of lurking without the resolve to post or share anything since I was down in the dumps about all the new babies around me.. But big ((hugs)) to everyone who needs them today! You all are always on my mind.

Update: DH and I have been TTA until all our races/travel/vacations are over so we're back to TTC soon! We failed this weekend (yay bday sex!) but we're going to for real start trying in 2 weeks. My OBGYN prescribed Clomid for my ovulation issues, but she didn't tell me much about it so I read up on it here. I asked her if she could monitor me when I take it and she said we could do some more ultrasounds early in my cycle but that the bloodwork they did last time was fine and I didn't need to do anything else. Sound normal? I'm a little hesitant to take it for all the horror stories, but if all I need are some extra ultrasounds and she's willing to do that, then I guess I'll go through with it. Sorry to hijack the thread!!

Thank you @ashellypnut for taking over the check-in! Big (((HUGS))) to all ladies who may need them.

Updates: My name is SuperKim and I have an appointment with an RE. It feels so weird to say it. The appointment is not until November, and is just an initial consultation and orientation to the practice. While I'm not sure how ready I am to start any type of treatment, it feels good to have an appointment and be moving forward. In the meantime, I am 6DPO, so maybe the RE appointment will bring some good juju and I'll end up not needing it. I don't feel too hopeful, though.

QOTW: Righty. Though DH is hoping to train our future children to be lefties for athletic purposes.

I'm a little over halfway through my 2ww and it's going well. The trigger is still showing as being in my system. I've still been feeling some on and off nausea, but it's not too bad. Right now, I've got the sexy combo of major bloat, skin breakout, and irritability. Poor DH.

We're driving back home now after visiting my family. It was bittersweet... Nice to see my family, but sad that my grandpa is no longer there.

ETA: forgot the QOTW. I'm a righty

@jenn0021 Big hugs to you. I'm glad you are starting to feel a little better.

@natsfan84 I hope the clomid does the trick for you as long as you are comfortable with the level of monitoring you receive.

@superkim13 Fx this is your cycle and you won't need the RE. I felt weird making an appt with an RE at first but I'm so glad I did it. I feel much more comfortable there than with my OB.

@luciddreamer106 I'm right there with you with the awful 2WW symptoms. I have the same trifecta.

UPDATE: I'm 9DPO right now so just waiting to see if my first injectible cycle was a success or not. I don't have my hopes up but it will be a very welcome surprise if it happens. I don't plan on testing for at least a few more days. I have a blood test scheduled for Tuesday with my RE if AF doesn't show up by then.

Thanks @natsfan84! I'm glad you've joined back in. I have my days too where it's just too much to even participate. GL with the Clomid - unfortunately I cannot offer you any advice here as I have no experience with this. There are *many* others though so try doing a search for Clomid and see what comes up.

Thanks @SuperKim! We have been seeing an RE as well - more as a precautionary step than anything else. She's the one who flagged my TSH levels and put me on Synthroid. Essentially, we've had one consultation and I've been following up with her for BW re: TSH levels. GL with your upcoming appointment and keep us posted!

Thank you. Even though I triggered O this cycle, I really don't think you're far behind. Hopefully, we can be BMB buddies instead of cycle buddies soon.

I'm taking letrozole instead of clomid, but the idea is the same. I think it's pretty standard to do a baseline u/s on cd 3-5ish and another closer to expected O (I had mine at cd 12). That should be the minimum. The 2nd u/s checks to see how you're responding (too many or not enough follicles), checks for cysts, measure the uterine lining, and find out when to trigger/time sex/ do IUI. Sometimes, you'll have another to confirm O.

As for me: I am 12 DPO, have not POAS yet and am really trying to hold off. Its so hard!! Symptom wise I feel PMS symptoms which could also be pg symptoms but I'm not getting my hopes up. Not much more going on here. QOTW: righty!!

@rn536 I had a faint positive on 5, 7 and today at 8 dpo that shows the trigger is probably still there. I have the cheapie HPT, so I'll probably keep testing it out. My RE's office said to test 16 days after trigger (14 dpo), but I'm not that patient and I'm a POASoholic.
