Ex-Detroit Mayor Sentenced Today

Dude this is like an early Christmas for Michiganders. About 10 years overdue and it's all going down at 10 a.m. 

I've got my TV on, live streaming on my computer, Twitter up and the local morning show on the radio. I'm ready. 

For those that aren't up to date on the Hip Hop Mayor, he was found guilty on 24 counts of federal crimes including racketeering, tax fraud, and various other charges for the kick-back scheme he was running with his BFF and dad while he was mayor.     Oh and I should add the prosecution is seeking 28 years and defense is arguing for 15 years.

    They say he could get a lower end of the sentence if he shows remorse, which I know will never happen. I can't wait to see what he says when/if he speaks. He very much thinks he was wrongly targeted and wronged. I

    I'm watching, too!  I know I'm new to living in the metro-Detroit area (been here 2 years this month) but I'm definitely keeping up with it.

    I'm also watching it and keeping tabs! It is so unreal to me that he still believes he has done nothing wrong. Unbelievable!

    Crap my GF that clerks at the courthouse for another judge just told me there are so many objections Edmunds may not get around to the sentencing for another couple of hours.

    Guess I should go dry my hair then!

    The judge said she believes he should get the higher end of the sentence since he was an elected official.

    He deserves the longest sentencing possible. He's a horrible person!

    I kept reading the subject of this post as sentenced "to death" and not "today". So when you posted a link to watch it I was so confused.
