We're really liking the name Kira lately pronounced as actress Kiera Knightley.. A little concerned with people misspelling / pronouncing.

Thinking Kiera seems like it would be pronounced " kee-air-ah" so thinking of spelling Kira instead.

Thoughts??

I would say Ky-ruh for Kira and Keira would be Keer-uh. I think that most people have heard of Keira Knightky and you'll be fine. You may get misspellings but with names now a days everyone asks you to spell out your name anyway

They are pronounced differently. Go with Keira if you want it pronounced like the actress. Go with Kira (which I kinda hate) if you want it pronounced ky-rah.

Kiera I can see being Kee-air-ah. But the name Keira won't be mispronounced that often.

Kira. I grew up with a Kira and now know a little girl Kira. I think its the simplest spelling.

ETA both Kiras I know pronounce it Keer-uh.
