cervical US did not go so well

Well I was measuring 1.4 then at another point 2.5 and it went back to 1.4. There was funneling as well. But the cervix remained closed from the outside. It was funneled by 1 cm. And there was a small blood clot by the funnel which she said happens when it starts to open. The mfm put me on bed rest and procardia to prevent contractions. She said she has seen ppl like me make it to term. I will be seeing my ob weekly. If my cervix begins to open I will be out on hospital bedrest. For now its home and I pray it remains that way. I am hoping for a very boring next few months. I hope with progesterone, procardia and bed rest this LO will bake a lot longer. It was being a stinker and curled in a ball the whole time with the feet above the head. It was measuring in the 87th percentile at 1 lb 13 oz. Thank you all for your prayers.

I am 24 and 3 today. Due the 26th. My first goal is 28 weeks because the chances of deficits greatly decrease. Then I hope to make it to 32. Then 34. Every milestone will be a gift.

Sending you lots of positive thoughts. I'm on bed rest and found the progesterone helped stopped the contractions and my measurement when put on bed rest was 1.87 cm and now (3 weeks later) is up to 2.37. So I hope bed rest helps you!!! Fx baby stays put longer!

Thank that helps. We are around the same time. Hopefully we have a boring next few months together!!! I hope mine goes back into the 2's and stays. best of luck to you! Are u on strict bedrest besides bathroom or do u do anything?

I wouldn't say strict but close. Nurse said bathroom is fine, showering is fine. I can go up the stairs for bed and down the stairs in the morning. When I get up to go to the bathroom, I let me dog out into the fenced backyard and get something to eat. If I stand more than 10 minutes I feel too much pressure but I also feel like I am becoming a big lazy whimp! With the little bit I get up each day, and my cervix measurements improving, I feel I am doing well. Just feel so much better not on my feet teaching 4th grade all day. How are you doing? What are your rest requirements? I find the hardest part being that I can't do anything to prepare for baby. Then I sit here all day and after my husband comes home from a 11 hour work day, he has to cook and clean and wait on me. He has to clean the room that will become the nursery, does all the grocery shopping, and does the laundry, all while I sit here all day watching tv and playing on the computer. He is very understanding, of course, but it is still difficult!

@precious. I actually spoke to the nurse on Friday about the results of the ultrasound to get exact measurement and stuff or mind were spinning while we were there. My actual cervix did measure 4 cm which I was not told that there. There is funneling to my cervix is not closed all the way in the inside. The closed portion measured 1.3 to 2.6. It changed during the ultrasound. She said she wouldnt say strict rest but take it easy I can go out to the store on occasion for a quick visit if needed. I am not comfortable with that. At least until I am in the 30s. I am personally being pretty strict about it. I last in the couch all day, use the bathroom and get up for snacks as needed. I Did eat lunch today and dinner last night at the table.. I see my doctor on Monday and will discuss activity more with her. So we will see...
