AW: Good News!

Helen had her follow up with the orthopedic surgeon today re: hip dysplasia. Her hips have stabilized significantly! She has to wear the brace at night for three more weeks and then have a repeat ultrasound of her hips, but she will most likely be discharged then. Hooray!

I am also unreasonably excited that she can now wear pants during the day when her brace is off. I think jeggings on babies are pretty adorable, so there will likely be some celebratory shopping for DD. Thanks for all the positive thoughts sent our way!

Thanks all! I feel like kind of an ass that my half-joking complaint about the jeggings was so memorable... The harness was definitely more of a challenge for mom and dad than it was for her. She's such a sweet natured, easy going little squish that nothing phases her!
