1. dont have any, but more likely than real ones cause I have a serious brown thumb

1. Not anymore where we live now. When we were in Alaska we had to worry about moose and deer.

2. Christmas!

3. We are flying to California to visit family.

4. We still use straw cups at home but he uses a regular cup at daycare everyday.

5. When I was pregnant but didn't really start using it til DS was born.

3. Any house guests staying longer than 4 days: Depends on who they are. Usually I'm ready to have my house back by day 3 (if not sooner), but there are some exceptions to that.

3. Do you have any Christmas plans yet/ SAH or visit family? Probably just stay at home, my family is all in England and we aren't visiting them this year so it will be just us, my brother and his fiance may come over around Christmas, but they don't know the dates yet.

4. Have you ditched the sippy cup yet? DS1 never had a sippy cup, but we still use straw cups, he has a habit of taking a drink from a regular cup then tipping it up so he can play with the water...sigh

No - I worry about hitting other cars but not wildlife. Unless I'm at our cabin, then I am more on the lookout as there are deer running everywhere.

Christmas!

Not yet - none of our family is going to be here this year (we usually have a big Christmas dinner at our house). Might go to Puerto Vallarta right before Christmas or Cincinnati to visit my family.

IDK. That's kinda why I'm asking. C can drink out of a regular cup, but I prefer sippy's because no mess.

Going to Tucson, AZ to visit my MIL. Haven't been there to visit for Christmas in 8 years, think we're due!

No but DS is OBSESSED with drinking out of everyone's cups. He was grabbing my families drinks of scotch at my sister's wedding this weekend!

After DS was born. He was supposed to be a January baby.

We live out in the country, so deer are always out and we have to be on the lookout. There are plenty of smaller animals (raccoons, skunks, squirrels, etc), but I don't worry about them since they don't hurt a vehicle like a deer would!!! I almost got a nice 10 point buck on the way home a couple nights ago and hit a bat a few nights before that!

I love Christmas, but anything fall related is my favorite, so maybe thanksgiving? I love the decorations and it means festival time and bonfires and hoodies. Not really a holiday but it's my favorite time of year!

3. Do you have any Christmas plans yet/ SAH or visit family?
We always are running back and forth from one house to the next during Christmas, and it's really hectic. We go to dh's granny's, my grandparents, and my step mother in laws on Christmas Eve. We do my parents, dh's brothers and our Christmas on Christmas Day. This year, we are thinking about having a huge dinner, inviting everyone over and being done with it. It's just too much running to be able to enjoy it.

4. Have you ditched the sippy cup yet?
No! And don't plan to. Lo makes a huge mess with an open cup (he drinks out of it fine but then wants to play in it and throw it!).

Halfway through pregnancy.

I prefer real ones, but I have some fake too. My cat chews up the real ones, so we have to be careful on what she gets hold of. I have a few fake arrangements that are luckily very pretty from dh's dad's and my grandpa's funeral that was sent to us and I can't get rid of them.

Cute, but I only have boys, so I haven't paid much attention truthfully!

3. Any house guests staying longer than 4 days
I'm a big entertainer and LOVE company, so I'm happy to have ppl over. A couple of weekends ago, we have 12 people spend the night for 2 nights in the house. I loved it! I hate to see them leave, truthfully!

It depends on where we are driving. There is a stretch of Hwy in Oregon where my husband and I have both hit deer. I worry every time we drive it.

4. Have you ditched the sippy cup yet? Both of my girls drink from open cups at the table. We use sippies (even the almost 4 year old) when we're out and about.

1. Not really. All I have a chance of hitting are squirrels, armadillo, possums, etc.

3. We stay in town since my whole family lives in the area anyway.
4. We still use sippy cups when out. LO loves drinking from open cups and I let her use them at home but she's always playing in them and making a mess.
5. I joined after my BFP, then laid low until after my daughter was born.

1. When you are driving, do you worry about hitting any wild life? If yes, what. When we were living in the mid Atlantic, I was conscious of deer during certain times of the year. Now that we're in Europe, I haven't even given it a thought.

2. What is your favourite holiday? Thanksgiving for the food, Christmas for the sentimental decorations, NYE because of DS, and the Fourth of July for the fireworks.

3. Do you have any Christmas plans yet/ SAH or visit family? We will be staying in Germany. I'll be entering my 9th month with this pregnancy, so it will be low key.

4. Have you ditched the sippy cup yet? For the most part. DS uses a regular cup for mealtimes at the table, but uses a Camelbak for water during the day.

5. When did you join this board? In my first trimester (maybe May or June of 2011?), but I haven't posted much.

Not wildlife, but I always worry I will hit someone's dog or cat. That would be awful

We will be staying in Scotland just the three of us. We might be going to Germany in early December to see a Christmas Market.

No, we still use it as DD's primary drinking source. She will use a cup with assistance from me and also a water bottle.

This particular board- When we were about 11 weeks into our pregnancies, but I really did not post until after the DD was born.

I don't like fake plants, but I have some Fall/Christmas decorations that are fake flowers/leaves and such that I made.

I think they are cute with tights and Mary Janes. Emma has a couple One thing I personally do not like is the high boots on little girls.

Yes...when family visits us it is for at least a week because of how far away we live. I have gotten used to it...My family I do not mind as much

1. Only when I'm visiting my parents. Deer are a real concern where they live.

2. I love Christmas!! Thanksgiving is second.

3. Probably staying home and family will come to us. Want to show off our new home this year.

4. Sort of- he uses a trainer cup at home because he tends to drop his cup or knock it off the high chair by accident.

5. I joined right away, I was on the the TTC board for almost a year before.

Don't care about fake plants.

Have no opinions on girls clothes since I have a son, other than I hate when little girls are dolled up to look like they are 20.

Usually no, sometimes there are exceptions.

1) yes - even the small stuff can get expensive in a hurry!!! Hit a coyote a few weeks ago - UGH...

2) This used to be an easy answer, now, not so much, everything just seems to blend and I don't get to really enjoy any of them...

3) Don't get to make any because of the nature of the beast with IL/DH's job...

4) Yes and no - When I don't want to helicopter, I give DS a sippy... But he's fully capable of using a cup without much issue, I just don't like cleaning up extra messes if I don't have to...

5) I think it was a natural transition when DD was born, so I've been on the boards for YEARS...

(1) They have their time/place/condition... All depends on the house, the room, and how well they're taken care of...

(2) Could care less - After having dealt with so many hand-me-downs over the years, I'm so glad to purchase what I/DD want for clothes, and if one was cute and fit the kiddo properly, then go for it!

(3) All depends on the house guest and what they're here for. Longer than two weeks, and not of the helpful variety, now there's a problem!

1) Yes, deer. I grew up where they are everywhere, and happened to settle down in a town where they are also everywhere! I've seen the damage they can do and they just jump out at you.

2) Thanksgiving

3) We switch off major holidays each year so we don't have to try to be in two different towns on the same day. This year Thanksgiving is with my family and Christmas is with in-laws. Beyond that, don't really know. We're trying to decide if we need to be home for Christmas morning of if we can travel for one more year. Ideally, I'd like to go to Christmas Eve children's service, spend Christmas morning at home and the afternoon with ILs. We'll see! My family will get together the weekend after xmas to celebrate.

4) Eh, he prefers to drink from an open glass, but I prefer the sippey cup, so we do a little of both.

5) I lurked before my BFP and joined pretty soon after my BFP (sn changed a little before or after E was born...)

Fake plants - not a fan
sweater dress on girls - can be cute, but I'm generally not a fan of putting little girls in adult clothes (don't get me started on lace rompers...........)
i think house guests should stay 2-3 days, anything longer is imposing. i wouldn't stay more than a few days at someone's house, although there are some people i would be totally fine with staying longer.
