Fully upholstered rocker/glider

Anyone have suggestions for good quality rockers or gliders that don't have as much exposed wood as the classic Dutailier models? There aren't many local stores that carry floor samples, so I'd also appreciate info on reputable online dealers. Thanks!

We bought one at a furniture store (living spaces) so much cheaper than at a "baby" store. We wanted one that looked like a piece of furniture for the living room so that it didn't look like a piece of nursery furniture years down the road. We just looked for a glider/swivel recliner. We have the dutailier in the nursery.

We got a Best Home Furnishings upholstered swiveling glider/recliner. They are made in the US, customizable chairs, Buy Buy Baby carries them, as well as traditional furniture stores. Visit their website to find a retailer near you.

i second the La Z Boy (make sure you can reach the recline lever even when hands are full though).

One year out it still gets used every single day, there are very few items that I can say that about.

We also got a "Best Chair" sold at buy buy baby. I think they are also available online. Ours was the Kamilla swivel glide.

Another Best chair lover here! We bought ours at a children's furniture store. I wanted a real piece of furniture (I hate traditional gliders) and chose a classic fabric that would be fine in baby's room or the living room.

We have a Best recliner as well - bought it a couple of years before the baby for our living room. It sat out in the garage when we got a new furniture set but we decided to repurpose it for the nursery. It's been great - it's a BodyRest, so it reclines totally flat. It's big and soooo comfortable. I love it.

Another vote for Best chairs! We have the Quinn and I LOVE it. It is so much more comfortable than the basic rocker with a cushion gliders you see. It was wonderful to have during late night feedings and we still use it every day. We also picked a fabric/pattern that will work well in our living room later. We first saw it at USA Baby and then shopped around for the best price, We ended up getting it at a small family owned furniture store for several hundred less than the USA Baby price. You can go to the Best furniture website and look up local retailers.
