Good to hear! My OB said 3-5 months is normal, which is the normal range for every woman.
I'm glad I'm giving myself a few cycles to get to know my body again after being on the pill for 14+ years. If something happens between now and January, great. But if not, it's game on then!
My BGs are pretty good - average about 130. I have a CGM and have my range set to 70-150 so I try to catch highs relatively quickly. I've been running high overnight the past few nights so I need to make some adjustments there.
I was on BCP for 8 years, and just had my BFP test after only two cycles of being off the pill. I made an appt with my endo for tomorrow, and have an ultrasound next Tuesday (LMP doesn't match when I got BFP). I also have the CGM, and have the alarm set for 80-200... I'm going to lower that high number now though. We're so happy it only took two cycles, but I never thought type 1 would make it harder. Good luck!!!
FWIW, I gradually lowered my high alert by 10. I'd lower it, keep it there for 2 - 3 weeks and lower again. Obviously you may want to be more aggressive since you are pregnant, but it worked well for me!
Thanks! My only concern/rush/reason that I want it to happen quickly is that I'm going to be 33 soon and we'd like more than one. So hopefully we hit a grand slam within the first few months, but if not, we'll take it from there.
With my first pregnancy (ended with a miscarriage) & with my daughter, it was the first month. With this pregnancy, it took 7 months. We actually quit trying so that I wouldn't have a Christmas baby...I'm due December 23rd. Go figure! (But still incredibly excited for another little princess!)
I got pregnant the first time we tried. We were thinking about it and talking about so about 6-9 months before I actually conceived, I made sure my blood sugars were in control and was starting to lose weight. I actually thought I might need help conceiving because my periods are very irregular. My doctor had prescribed Clomid and I took it in Oct, Nov and Feb. Then I was off it and I started to lose weight in April and next thing I know in May I had conceived naturally. I was worried to as I was 34 and we wanted to have more than one as well.
