Short version, my 23 mos STILL takes two gloriously long naps plus sleeps 11 hrs at night. I've recently wondered what life would be like if he didn't take that nap. (Since I also have an 8mos old, I've relished it thus far.)
Today I took him to a music class during his usual a.m. nap. He was clingy and yawned throughout. Once we arrived back home I wasn't sure what to do with him. Keep him up and go down for an earlier afternoon nap or put him down before lunch? I opted to put him down and he instantly conked out.
Now, again I'm wondering what to do. Let him sleep as long as he needs, with the likelihood that he'll not take an afternoon nap, or wake him up and resume our usual afternoon schedule?
Obviously the earth won't explode either way...just looking for others' thoughts. My kiddos thrive on their current schedule and my DS seems to enjoy knowing what to expect.
