Our Spina Bifida baby update..

Well we are seeing our perinatologist every other week right now and this morning had the best ultrasound ever. I am 29 weeks and my sweet little boy weighs 2lbs and 10 oz and he is the cutest baby I have ever seen!! He is moving all over the place. His hydrocephalus is a little worse than 2 weeks ago, but still stable, and the lesion in his back is still very low. I am so thankful for him and I can not wait to meet him. We will still have a scheduled C-Section, but if the hydrocephalus doesn't get much worse than they will let us go full term, but if it does get worse than we will go earlier. I will keep everyone updated as we learn new info, but for now here are pics of the cutest little boy on the planet (I'm not biased!!) from todays ultrasound.

    That is a great visit.  Hang in there.  I know this has not been easy.  He is the cutest thing.

    Hey! Glad to hear everything is going well so far!!  I just saw you're in bartlett, I use to live in collierville Big Smile so we went to lots of cheer/pom events in bartlett!
    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     I'm planning to come and visit my best friend in May, maybe we could meet up! I know the mall is awesome! i haven't lived there since 97, but I go back every other year or so.

    I wonder if you might have gone to college with my friend, I think she went to BCHS.  Is that a nursing school?

    I am so glad your appointment went well and you are right, he is absolutely adorable!
    It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.

    I have to tell you my DH who is now 29 was born with hydrocephalus. He had shunt surgery at birth and a few times since. He is the most healthy person. The success for those these days are WONDERFUL compared to then. I wish you all the best and your little one is in my prayers.
