Large 2 1/2 year old and diapers

Hey All ~

My son turned 2 1/2 in July. He is the 100th perc for both height and weight. Most people think he is 4 or 5. As a result of his size (and we are potty-training), we are having a hard time finding diapers. He is currently wearing Huggies Sz 6 and 4T-5T pull ups. We are nearing the end of the ability to use those. I had purchased some larger cloth diapers awhile back (didn't work) ...and I've seen some other discussion threads outside of this that talk about Pampers Sz 7 but also Good Nights and Underjams? I know there are smaller adult diapers out there, etc. but I'm hoping there are a few of you out there that can relate....

  • Dealt with this for DS. He is a big kid and before he was trained, we were struggling with diaper size. Good nites i felt were better than underjams for absorption but not as good as a "regular" diaper. If you can manage to find the size 7s, go for it but i was never able to track those down.

  • You can find size 7 Cruisers on Amazon if you need them:

Sorry, I don't have much advice otherwise. My almost 3-year-old still wears some of his 24 month pants. LOL
  • We haven't had this issue, but I have heard from other moms that they can only find size 7 diapers on-line, never in store, and I think only in Pampers. I'd try Amazon or diapers.com to see if you can find them.

  • My big guy is in size 7 cruisers. I've never seen them in the store, I just have them set up for subscribe and save from Amazon. I get 1-2 (average of 1.5 boxes per month) delivered to my door monthly. Works perfectly, plus I get like a 5% discount. In all honesty, the cost really doesn't matter because this is the only diaper that works for us. HTH!

  • Thank you all for comments, suggestions! I sometimes feel I'm the only one with a big toddler! Pampers Size 7 - here we come (hopefully not for much longer!)
  • We bought the size 7s at Toys r us. Then good nights at Target.
