I feel like this is not looking promising.

Ok, so we met with our RE in July. He thought we had enough sperm frozen for 1-2 attempts at IUI. I've been on DHEA and coenzyme q10 since, weaned from BF, did my HSG, had a crappy AFC and have just been waiting for AF. Last week I contacted him to see if we had enough sperm to do IUI and then take some to our new province after we move in a month. He couldn't remember our numbers off hand and told me to contact the sperm lab to check. He also said if I responded well enough to stims (at least 3 follies) then IVF would be an option. I stopped by the lab and learned that after the test thaw we actually only have an estimated 120 000 motile sperm total in all 3 freezes. They recommend at least 5 million to try IUI. They said IVF with ICSI was only real option. I then called the nurses line to see if I could fill out the IVF paperwork and put down my deposit since I am expecting AF next week. She flipped out that there was nothing in my chart about IVF this time around and that I hadn't done an SIS this year. She spoke to my RE and then called back today to say that my doc wants us to come in Thurs to "discuss our options". I am worried that means he thinks things are a no go this cycle. Which means we have to ship stuff to our new province to try there, which is more expensive and sucky because we would've moved 2 months ago instead OR I wouldn't have weaned so soon!!! Also, I am worried that with every AF my ovarian reserve is falling off and the time it will take to get into a new clinic will hurt us. I know I am jumping ahead a few steps, but the fact he wants to meet with us had me concerned....

Oh kaf, I'm so sorry. I really hope that Thursday he is able to present you with a good option, not just a crappy "sorry, it won't work".

Aw man. That sucks. It would be difficult for me not to be upset with my clinic after so much confusion and miscommunication. FX that they figure out an option for you so that you don't have to miss a cycle opportunity. (((hugs))) kaf- you've been through so much lately, yikes. Here's hoping for some normalcy soon.

On a more positive note, your OR wwill not fall off that quickly.

It decreases over years not really months and you can even have good and bad months where your afc can vary.

Okay - maybe your RE wants to discuss switching this to an IVF cycle. I hope this is the case and you can go ahead as planned! Are you seeing your RE tomorrow or a week from tomorrow? Keep us updated!
