We have been hiking in VT using a backpack carrier, and LO's calves and feet have been getting really chilly. We tried using layers yesterday (stretch pants under lined jeans and 2 pairs of socks) but he's still a bit cool when we're done. He's fine up top, btw. It's just his lower legs/feet that get chilly. Perhaps not so coincidentally, those are the parts that dangle out of the body of the carrier.
Any suggestions? I was thinking that we could try to get some boots, but I'm not sure where to find warm boots for a 9 month old. Any other thoughts or ideas are welcome!
