And I don't mean the fun kind that you drink

Took LO for her 6 month appt today and even though the nurse told me it was the same shots she got at her 4 month, I swear it was more, plus the flu shot. Ugh. Poor LO, while I realize it could've been much worse, I just had to let her sleep on me because she kept waking up crying. I hate knowing she's uncomfortable. I know shots are necessary but am I the only one left thinking "there has to be an easier way!" Whine over.

They are so hard! I think they are harder on mommies than they are on babies. My LO was fortunate not to have any bad reactions. He was miserable though and usually slept the ret of the day. As they get older it gets less frequent and I feel like they really don't bother LO anymore.

The thing with my LO is she's not a crier, to the fact that's she's woken up legit crying for the past few hours (with Tylenol none the less) kills me. Oh yeah, and DH is out of town tonight. UGH

Sorry JB. My LO cries a bit and is a bit cranky after but I always get a great nights sleep out of him after and we're both better by morning. Hope your LO is feeling better tomorrow.

I hear you on the shots! My guy got his 4 month shots on Monday and needless to say, he had baby diarrhea all day yesterday (the nurse said it could or could not be from the shots but who knows), plus a fever to boot. I feel so bad for him! I hope you LO feels better soon!

I think it was her 4 month shots or something, but I remember E just being miserable. She just slept and cried and slept and cried. It was heartbreaking. On the plus side, she's done much better at her successive vaccinations, so hopefully that means they sort of grow out of it affecting them so badly. Hugs mama, it's so hard!
Side note, I also hate the shots in the little glasses. If I take even one, I am guaranteed to pass out. Yet I can drink mixed drinks all night long. WTH.

Good luck Penny. I don't know why I found these to be so bad, we are typically unphased

Maybe it was just because I was alone all day and night with no husband.

I am sorry. Shots are never fun. Like @TJ1979 said, Grayson has been less and less affected by them as he gets older. Hopefully the same holds true for you.
